As we all know, most airport runways, highways, tunnels and bridges are paved with high-strength cement concrete. Concrete is a rigid material in nature

First of all, polyurethane sealants can create strong bonds of concrete and seal joints to prevent fluids, wind, gases and other substances from passing through. Besides, concrete always changes its plane due to atmospheric conditions. Carbonation may take place and the overall effect may be contraction because of its drying and shrinkage. Expansion and contraction may occur due to change in cyclic effects or change in environmental conditions like humidity and temperature or the extra load on to cracking. Polyurethane sealants have high elasticity with a tough, durable, flexible consistency, which can adapt to the changes of concrete due to atmospheric conditions. Finally, polyurethane sealants are self-leveling, waterproof, weatherproof, available in colors and have good resistance to chemical corrosion. These properties can protect concrete pavements well and prolong their service life.
