Where Is Fire Caulking Required? (Find Out Now!)

Intumescent acrylic sealant is one part, ready to use, designed for ductwork and in addition used for joints in compartment walls and floors, fire sealing expansion joints, sealing metal pipes, bundled cables and around lightweight partitions, around fire-rated doors, and service penetration seals where the integrity of fire walls or partitions needs to be maintained. Intumescent qualities enable the materials to swell under heat conditions, producing a fire and smoke-resistant seal.
The fire left people is a lesson of blood and tears, but more important than it is to prevent the 'source'. Fire caulking is one of the best strategies you can use to protect a building in case of a fire. It ensures maximum safety for properties by sealing joints, seams, and other openings. When fire caulking is installed correctly, it can prevent property damage, injury, and even death. In this article, we will cover what fire-resistant sealant is and its benefits. Finally, we’ll provide a brief overview of the fireproof sealant installation process.
Tengyu Chemical TA103 Fire retardant sealants are primarily used in the fire-resistant walls that are fabricated in fire-rated buildings. These sealants are resistant to smoke, heat, water, and fire. It prevents the spread of fire and gives enough time for the safe evacuation of the occupants. It is a method of passive fire protection that localizes the fire, smoke, and toxic gases to a certain area of origin and prevents further penetration. Compartmentalization plays a key role in preventing the spread of fire.
TA103 fire-rated acrylic sealant is suitable for all kinds of fireproof doors and Windows and fireproof engineering seal bonding, with an excellent flame retardant, in case of open flame does not ignite, and has good weather resistance, aging resistance, and high and low-temperature resistance performance.
How To Install Fire Caulking?
Apply the fire sealant as instructed by the manual. We recommend inserting the fire sealant into a sealant gun and cutting off the tip of the nozzle. Gently squeeze the trigger and apply the fire sealant evenly.
Smooth the sealant using a wet cloth or a finger and use warm water to remove any stains. Excess sealant can be scraped off using a putty knife. Once you have finished the application, allow enough time to cure.
Do not apply weight to uncured fire sealant as it may crack or crumble.
