Intumescent fireproof sealant is a flame retardant and intumescent fireproof sealant. It has good flame retardancy and expands in volume when exposed to fire, which can effectively prevent the transfer of flames and heat. It is used around cables in fireproof sealing parts such as shafts, cabinets, cable walls, metal pipes, etc.

How to use fireproof sealant

● Clean the hole and the surface where the sealant is applied, remove scattered debris, dust, and keep it dry.

● According to the test report requirements of the relevant standards, fill the backing material to a smaller thickness and leave enough thickness for the application of the sealant to obtain considerable fire aging

● Use of sealant: To achieve the required fire protection effect, please use it according to the specified thickness and ensure that the sealant is in contact with the surface of the pipeline substrate to obtain greater adhesion.

● Smooth the fireproof sealant: To achieve better results, please smooth the surface immediately. For excessive cement, it can be removed with tools and water before hardening.

● After the construction is completed, please keep the interface intact for 48 hours to complete the maintenance procedure.

● If necessary, install road signs in a conspicuous position next to the fireproof seal as an identification mark for future maintenance.
