When constructing door and window sealants, as a consumer, you can pay attention to these contents on site or during acceptance:
1. Foam and dust should be cleaned before applying sealant. If there are water stains (it is recommended to postpone construction on rainy days), they need to be wiped clean until the water dries up. Otherwise, the sealant will not adhere well and may easily lead to subsequent leakage problems;
2. When the exterior wall adhesive adopts a rectangular cross-section, the thickness (width) needs to be about 6 mm; when using a triangular cross-section, the thickness needs to be about 8 mm;
3. If the door and window frames are spliced, or use pipes, strips, etc., they need to be sealantd and waterproof at this location. The construction requirements are the same as above;

4. The upper, lower, left and right edges of the outer window sill, as well as the joints and other locations, can also be sealantd to improve the waterproofing effect of the window sill (especially if the outer window sill is older, and the outer window sill is made of stone or ceramic tiles) Wait for the situation, but it may slightly affect the appearance);
5. There are generally two places where sealant is used for indoor doors and windows. One is that the indoor glass and pressure lines do not need to be sealantd, but sealant. The other is that if the doors and windows are installed after the house has been moved in, sealant will be used directly to close the interior. At this time, due to environmental protection considerations (anti-aldehyde, etc.), the indoor sealant can be used with a higher environmental protection level (two types of indoor/outdoor sealants are available);
6. When preventing water leakage, it is necessary to ensure that the appearance of the exterior wall sealant is smooth and beautiful to increase the visual experience and avoid indiscriminate application of sealant and fewer missed applications. If consumers find that the installer's application is unsightly, difficult to deal with, or the area is difficult to apply, they should ask the installer to apply masking paper first and apply sealant again;

7. It takes about 1-2 days for the sealant to dry and harden. During this period, on-site construction workers should be reminded not to damage it by accidental contact;
8. If there are subsequent constructions such as tiles and window sill boards on the exterior window sill, the sealant needs to be refilled after completion;
