1. High gloss
sealants of different qualities have different glossiness after they are printed. High-quality sealants have a strong gloss after curing, while some inferior sealants have no luster as soon as they are printed, and some lose their luster after curing for one or two months.
The higher the surface gloss, the more delicate and smooth the sealant is, and the higher the quality; the opposite is true for inferior sealant.
2. No particles
High-quality sealant is a chemically synthesized material that has been fully and evenly stirred. It has a fine and uniform texture and is smooth, flat and shiny after application and solidification;
Inferior sealant has some visible particles and debris, and the surface of the strip after curing is not as smooth and flat as that of good quality sealant.
Silicone sealants that are matte and have particles often use recycled materials as raw materials. They often yellow seriously in the later stage and have poor weather resistance and UV resistance.
3. No bubbles
The main component of high-quality sealant is silicone, with minimal amounts of other additives and good stability.
Because the sealant of inferior silicone sealant is not 100% silicone sealant, the additives in the silicone may react chemically with the PE soft sealant of the sealant bottle, causing the sealant bottle to "swell" and allow the air trapped in the space to penetrate. The sealant creates gaps, which directly manifests itself in the uneven colloid and the presence of bubbles!
4. High tensile strength
Pull the cured silicone adhesive strip with your hands. The elongation rate of good silicone adhesive can reach two to three times of the original and is not easy to break. After releasing the hand, it can basically return to its original length.
Inferior silicone strips not only do not have good elongation, but will break directly when reaching a certain tensile strength and lack elasticity.
5. Resistance to shrinkage and cracking
A series of common problems in life such as sealant cracking, shrinkage, and degumming are actually based on the shrinkage resistance of silicone sealant. Good quality silicone is dimensionally stable, resistant to shrinkage and has good resistance to displacement after curing.
The reasons for bubbles, low tensile strength, and poor shrinkage resistance are mostly caused by the fact that manufacturers add a large amount of white oil to the raw materials! This reduces production costs and leads to vicious competition at low prices.
We always believe that only by adhering to our brand value, practicing long-termist values, insisting on using raw materials to create high-quality sealants, and maintaining the bottom line of quality can we gain respect and rewards from society.
