What are the advantages of acrylic waterproof coating?

Acrylic waterproof coating construction is suitable for waterproofing and anti-seepage of building roofs, bathrooms, basements, and moisture-proofing of wooden floors.

There are four benefits of acrylic waterproof coating:

1. It is scientifically formulated with flexible acrylic elastic emulsion as the film-forming material, water as the dispersion medium, and imported additives, pigments and fillers. It has the properties of environmental protection, non-toxic, flame retardant and anti-aging.

2. It can be constructed on wet surfaces and has strong bonding performance.

3. It has excellent durability, high and low temperature resistance, elasticity, extensibility, water resistance and crack resistance.

4. Brushing, rolling, and spraying can be used for convenient construction and fast drying time.

Construction technology of materials：

1) Grassroots treatment. The base layer should be smooth and solid, without floating ash, sand, cracks, oil stains, and other defects such as loose objects; if there are cracks in the base layer, polymer mortar or "leak-stopping treasure" must be used to repair and fill the cracks; such as If the base layer is loose, you can use Yuhong reinforcement to strengthen the base layer; if the surface of the base layer has been powdered or whitened, you need to use an iron brush or sandpaper to clean the surface materials first; before waterproofing construction, the base layer must be dry and free of Standing water.

2) Detailed node processing. Detailed nodes such as expansion joints and drainage pipes must be reinforced with layers. The "one cloth, two coatings" method is adopted to embed the reinforced polyester cloth into the paint so that the waterproof paint can fully penetrate the carcass layer without wrinkles or warping.

3) Large surface waterproofing construction. The coating film should be applied in 2-3 times. The second coat should be applied after the first coat is dry. The coating time interval is generally 12 hours. The drying time in low temperature environment should be appropriately extended. The thickness of each coat should be 0.5mm. It is not appropriate to apply it once. If it is too thick, the painting directions should be perpendicular to each other, and the paint should be evenly applied without any leakage.

4) Closed water test. The water closure test can only be carried out after the coating film is completely dry. The water closure time should not exceed 48 hours.

Construction precautions are as follows:

1) Do not construct below 5℃ or in the rain. Do not construct in a particularly humid and non-ventilated environment, otherwise the film formation will be affected;

2) After construction, all parts of the entire project, especially weak links, should be carefully inspected to identify problems, identify the causes and repair them in time.

3) After the acrylic waterproof paint is opened and used, the unused part can be used later, but it should be sealed and stored to prevent the paint from being contaminated, drying and skinning.
