1. Neutral silicone sealant

Silicone neutral adhesive, also known as silicone non-structural adhesive, is a sealing material that does not produce acidic substances during the curing process. In contrast, neutral sealants have a near neutral PH and contain special catalysts that can react with moisture in the air at room temperature to achieve curing. Neutral rubber has good compatibility with most building materials, including marble, granite, etc., and will not cause corrosion or damage. Therefore, in the need for long-term durability and high requirements for the substrate, such as bathrooms, kitchens and other wet environment sealing, neutral rubber is the preferred material.

2. Acetic silicone sealant

The sour taste of acetic silicone sealant comes from the acetic acid released during the curing process. Acetic acid is commonly known as acetic acid. Its main component is polysiloxane, which releases acidic substances during the curing process. Everyone is familiar with acetic acid. At present, many furniture and home decorations on the market are bonded with acetic sealants. It is also widely used in glass fish tanks and aquariums. In practical applications, the choice of silicone acetic sealant or neutral silicone sealant should be comprehensively evaluated according to specific engineering requirements and environmental conditions. For temporary sealing tasks that require rapid curing, acetic silicone sealant may be a better choice. While for long-term durability and occasions with high requirements for substrate protection, neutral silicone sealant is more suitable.
