1. Glossiness is the key
Silicone sealants of different qualities have different glossiness. High-quality silicone sealants have a strong gloss after curing, while low-quality sealants have no glossiness, and some lose their gloss after curing for one or two months.
2. Observe the texture of the sealant
High-quality sealants have a fine and uniform texture, and the surface of the sealant strip is flat and smooth after curing.
Inferior sealants can be seen with particles and debris, and the surface of the sealant strip is uneven and not smooth after curing.

3. Observe for bubbles
High-quality sealants contain 100% silicone and have no bubbles.
Poor-quality sealants contain various additives and have bubbles. The main component of high-quality sealants is silicone, and other additives are used in very small amounts. Pure silicone has good stability and is minimally affected by changes in external conditions during storage.
4. Check the hardness after curing
After applying the sealant locally, the user should first check the surface drying time of the sealant in accordance with the instructions on the product packaging. If the time is too short or too long, it means that there is a problem with the quality of the sealant. After curing is completed, test the hardness and elasticity of the sealant. You can also cut the cross section of the sealant to check whether the curing effect inside and outside the sealant is consistent.
