One-component polyurethane sealant is a sealing material that uses the moisture curing principle. It usually takes a long time for it to fully cure. Depending on different conditions and product characteristics, its full curing time may vary from dozens of hours to several days. The surface drying time, that is, the time it takes for the sealant surface to initially dry and have a certain strength, is relatively short.

1. Ambient temperature:
Temperature is an important factor affecting the curing speed of one-component polyurethane sealant. Generally speaking, the higher the temperature, the faster the sealant cures. At higher temperatures, the chemical reaction in the sealant is accelerated, thereby shortening the curing time.
2. Ambient humidity:
Since one-component polyurethane sealant adopts the principle of moisture curing, the humidity in the environment will also affect its curing speed. The higher the humidity, the more moisture in the air, which helps the curing reaction of the sealant to proceed, thereby shortening the curing time.
3. Construction thickness:
The thickness of the sealant during construction will also affect its curing time. Generally speaking, the thinner the thickness of the sealant, the faster it cures; conversely, the thicker the thickness, the longer the curing time.
When using one-component polyurethane sealants, ensure that the construction environment meets the temperature and humidity conditions required by the product to ensure normal curing and performance of the sealant. After construction is completed, sufficient time should be given to allow the sealant to fully cure to avoid performance problems during use. For situations where rapid curing is required, consider using other types of sealants or taking other measures to accelerate curing.
